The question of parking once again came up as council looked at designs for a new middle school in the Upper Mission this week.
Canyon Falls Middle School is set to open on Frost Road in time for September 2019.
School District planning manager David Widdis told council that the number of required parking stalls is based on the number of classrooms there are.
He says Canyon Falls exceeded its requirement.
"What we looked at from other middle schools of the same size, we've actually added a little more parking than what are on those ones," he said.
"We're hoping this is going to satisfy the requirements within that school, and if not, like we do with all our schools, we will then re-evaluate the situation. Can we increase parking anywhere? Can we put some signage up?"
Widdis was also asked whether they had the option of adding portable classrooms in the future, if needed.
"The school site was supposed to be about 600 when it first got originally looked at five/six years ago. But with all the growth that we've seen, we've upped it to 750, so that is hopefully going to take care of most of that growth," he said.
"If we need portables, they're probably not going to be going on this site. We'll probably have to re-configure and do some changes within our existing facilities."
Another big concern was over traffic stacking - which would see vehicle backups stretch out along Frost Road.
Widdis says at this point, they're confident in enough kids walking or busing to school to have it not be a major issue.
