The BC Lottery Corporation says its still waiting to hear from a major lottery winner in the Okanagan.
The winning ticket for last night's Lotto 6/49 jackpot of 16.7 million dollars was bought here in Kelowna.
Winners have exactly one year to claim their prize, and will be announced by BCLC when they do, along with the store where they bought the winning ticket.
Lotto 6/49 says the odds of winning one of its jackpots are about 1 in 14 million.
That's compared to the odds of getting hit by lightning, which are less than one in a million, and the odds of giving birth to quadruplets, which are roughly 1 in 800,000.
