The BC Wildfire Service has confirmed the Central Okanagan fires did not see significant growth from Friday night to Saturday morning - and there has been no change in orders and alerts overnight.
The Mount Eneas, burning between Peachland and Summerland, is now estimated at 1,374 hectares in size and is still considered out-of-control. Evacuation orders and alerts remain in place in Peachland and the Garnet Valley areas. The BC Wildfire Service reports 49 firefighters are on the ground Saturday morning.
The Goode's Creek fire in Okanagan Mountain Park is 400 hectares. The good news is it's located in the old 2003 burn area - and has moved away from homes - so an evacuation alert has been lifted for 15 properties on Lakeshore Road. 21 firefighters have been working to establish control lines Saturday.
And the Law Creek Fire, 6-kilometres southwest of West Kelowna, is 10 hectares in size and still considered out-of-control. However, a large number of the 198 homes on Evacuation Alert this week are now off the list - only 69 remain under alert. Crews are working Saturday to contain the fire's flanks and construct control lines.
The two other fires of note are Placer Mountain, 255 hectares in size and located 37 kilometres south of Princeton - and the Mount Conkle fire which is about 93 hectares in size and located 8 kilometers southwest of Summerland.
