SilverStar is excited to announce that they will open their cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails this Friday November 24 at 8:30am.
With the opening, that means many of the mountain businesses will be open this weekend as well.
“It’s nice to see some snow and allow guests to come up and enjoy some winter. Although Mother Nature has not given us all the snow we asked for, we will be open for the season starting Friday,” Ian Jenkins, Director of Sales and Marketing said.
“The village restaurants will be open daily, along with the ticket office, and our retail store, Evolve," Jenkins said.
"Come on up, check out all the snow, have lunch, pick up your season pass, go for a Nordic ski or simply enjoy the winter sun. You can also check out the latest in retail or get your skis/board tuned and ready for alpine opening if you have not already. You don't want to be waiting on Alpine Opening Day."
SilverStar plans to open over 15 km’s of Nordic trails and 14 km's of snowshoe trails for the weekend and continues to monitor the snowfall for the scheduled alpine opening on November 30.
The Nordic terrain is all in the upper mountain and it is recommended for intermediate and advanced skiers with only select trails having set tracks.
