The Okanagan Indian Band is hosting an information meeting for members who have been impacted by flooding on Okanagan Indian Band land, which includes Westbank First Nation.
The meeting will include speakers from Environment Canada, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and the First Nations Health Authority, and will provide information about what emergency resources are available and what the next steps are.
Chief Byron Louis says with an estimated 750 residents on the shoreline, managing the flood response has been a massive endeavor.
The meeting will be on Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Head of the Lake Hall located at 118 Head of the Lake Road in Vernon.
