One of the two men arrested on William Bennett Bridge following a dramatic police chase in January has pleaded guilty to 4 of 7 charges from the incident.
33-year-old Ryan Regan plead guilty to flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and assault with a weapon in a Kelowna courtroom on Thursday. His lawyer expects 4 other charges will be stayed.
On January 12, 2016 Regan and another man were arrested on William Bennett Bridge after fleeing from mounties during a traffic stop in Penticton. The incident shut down eastbound traffic on the bridge for over an hour.
Regan will remain in custody until a pre-sentence report is prepared for May 11.
His alleged co-accused, 25-year-old Michael Anthony, is expected to plead guilty to his charges on March 23.
