It is nothing short of a miracle.
The family of Ryan Straschnitzki, the Humboldt Broncos' player paralyzed in a team bus crash, have shared a video of their son moving his legs after undergoing spinal surgery in Thailand.
The procedure placed an epidural stimulator in Straschnitzki's spine.
It sends electrical current through his spinal cord to stimulate nerves and allow him to move his legs.
Straschnitzki was paralyzed from the chest down in the April 2018 crash when the Bronco's bus collided with a semi-trailer that ran a stop sign.
The crash claimed the lives of 16 members of the team, including players and support staff, and left 13 injured.
