On Sunday, March 31 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. the third annual Ski2Tree relay race will be underway.
The event includes road and mountain biking, running and paddling and will travel from the Nordic Ski Centre on McCulloch Road to the finish line at the Tree Brewery on Water Street.
While no major road closures are planned for the event, motorists are advised to watch for athletes along the route.
To accommodate a transition area, one of the parking lots along the Mission Creek greenway on the southeast side of the creek on Spiers Road and K.L.O. Road will be partially closed to the public. Participants will run along the greenway to Lakeshore Road along the Abbott Street Corridor and down Waterfront boardwalk towards Tugboat beach. Tugboat beach will have a partial closure to accommodate the transition from running to paddling.
