A home on Vernon Drive in Peachland appears close to a complete loss after a fire Sunday night.
Firefighters arrived just after 6:00 pm.
Some nieghbours reported hearing an explosion, but Fire Chief Dennis Craig says they're not about to call that the cause of the fire.
"We haven't really heard much about an explosion. The house was fully involved when we got here. We had a venting propane tank off the back deck, when we arrived as well, so it might have been what they heard," he says.
Craig says all three people inside the home were able to get out safely thanks to a smoke alarm.
Investigators are still on the scene trying to determine a cause.
