An application for a judicial recount of ballots in the Peachland mayoralty election will be heard in Provincial Court at 1130 Friday morning.
The mayorlty race finished in a tie between incumbent Cindy Fortin and challenger Harry Gough. They each had 804 votes.
Here's what's going to happen in court.
A date and time for the judicial recount will be set. The recount must be completed by end of day Friday November 2nd.
When done and official, if the vote is still tied, the mayor will be chosen by lot.
The court will oversee the process.
A person will be appointed to make the draw. The winner will be the candidate whose name is on the paper drawn.
