The Kelowna RCMP Municipal Traffic Section is continuing their investigation into a morning hit and run collision which injured a youth and damaged her bicycle. On May 29, 2018 at 8:24 am, the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a hit and run collision which took place approximately 30 minutes prior, between a youth cyclist and a motor vehicle in the intersection of Gordon Drive and Springfield Road in Kelowna.
“We would like to extend our appreciation to the additional witnesses who have since come forward with new information,” states RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “We are now told that the suspect vehicle involved is believed to be an off white or cream coloured Kia Soul with British Columbia licence plates attached.” RCMP are now asking those members of the general public who know of someone who owns such a distinguished vehicle to report anything suspicious to police. Cpl. O’Donaghey reminds the public that, “the hit and run suspect vehicle could have fresh markings or slight to moderate damage to its right front passenger side.”
Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Kelowna RCMP or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers.
