A police dog was used to track down a hit and run driver on Saturday night in Kelowna.
RCMP Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says at around 9:30 pm, a grey Saturn and black Chevy Avalanche crashed at Springfield and Gordon - witnesses told officers the Chevy didn't stop at the red light.
O'Donaghey says the Avalanche fled the scene and was followed by a witness who guided police to a second location where it was found abandoned.
A 32-year-old Kelowna man was tracked down by the police dog and arrested - he now faces several charges.
The four occupants of the Saturn sustained non-life threatening injuries.
