The search for a missing man from the Vernon area has led to a ground search by Kelowna RCMP.
24-year-old Jordan Mooney has been missing since Sunday, May 27th, when he was last seen leaving a residence in the Dilworth area of Kelowna.
RCMP Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey says a public tip led to a major discovery in the case.
“After releasing the description of Mooney’s vehicle to the media, Kelowna residents spotted his vehicle abandoned in the McKinley Landing area,” says Corporal O’Donaghey. “As a result, we now have a possible last location of where Mooney was, and we’ve already begun to search that area surrounding his vehicle.”
The ground search began Wednesday night, and continued into Thursday, with RCMP Air Services lending a hand by deploying their fixed-wing aircraft.
Mooney is described as white, 5 foot 10, with short red hair, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black pants.
