Kelowna RCMP are investigating an alleged stabbing that took place in the parking lot of the Kelowna International Airport shortly after 9:30 PM on Tuesday.
Police learned that a 54-year-old West Kelowna man was returning to his vehicle, where he saw a man reportedly trying to break into the car. This led to a confrontation, during which the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the man.
He was taken to hospital to be treated for a non-life threatening injury. Meanwhile, a police search for the suspect in the area was unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5 foot 10, with dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a jean jacket, a plaid shirt, and a dark baseball cap.
