His body was discovered inside a home on Stockwell Avenue near Ethel Street on April 1, 2017, after a fire, reportedly started by an explosion, broke out at the home.
Police confirm he lived in the house with other men and believe his death is linked to the drug trade and organized crime.
“The Kelowna RCMP would like to remind the public about the dangers linked to Organized Crime activities and any associations to individuals affiliated to the drug trade and to contact the Kelowna RCMP if any identifiable Organized Crime groups are observed in Kelowna” said Cpl. Tania Carrioll in a news release.
Police are asking anyone who had contact with Madsen on Friday, March 31, 2017 and/or on April 1, 2017 to come forward. Madsen was associated to a 1993 white Chevy Cavalier.
Anyone with any information, that hasn’t yet spoken to investigators is urged to contact Cpl. Judith Bertrand of the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit at 250-470-6327. Or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
