UPDATE - 4:25 PM:
Canada Post has responded to the CUPW's 72-hour strike notice.
In a statement, they say they have made offers to the union that include increased wages, job security, and benefits for unionized workers, without asking for any concessions in return.
They say they value their relationship with the union, as they have been able to work together in the past to resolve issues such as workload concerns and pay equity.
Should the union end up going on strike, Canada Post will remain open for business, and will notify customers of any service disruptions.
