As of tomorrow, you'll be able to smoke marijuana at the Kelowna Airport, as long as you are outside, in one of the two designated smoking areas. Airport Manager Sam Samaddar says there is no smoking of any kind inside the building.
Samaddar says you can carry small amounts of pot on domestic flites but not international. You'll be seeing new signage in the pre-boarding area alerting you to the law.
Also, there'll be a receptacle where you can get rid of your pot prior to going through security just in case you forget. Crossing international borders while in possession of even small amounts of marijuana has never been a good idea and nothing has changed.
