It can be tempting to bask in the rays of the sun on a glorious day. That comes with risks though.
Sunscreen and UV protective clothing can help protect us from the sun's intense rays.
The trick to sunscreen is using enough and reapplying.
Ben Weis is a Primary Care Skin Cancer Physician.
"If you just use a little bit (sunscreen) that SPF rating that you see on the bottle drops dramatically." Weis explains.
Make sure you use enough which basically means you need to look oily and greasy.
"But of course that is much better that getting a sunburn and ending up with skin cancer." he adds.
Weis says you should use the equivalent of two shots glasses full of sunscreen for your entire body. And reapply every two hours.
