With petitions circulating both "For" and "Against" a new Visitor Centre in Kelowna - it's expected to be a lively public hearing into the proposal this evening (Jan 24/17).
Tourism Kelowna's new centre would be located on a city-owned parking lot at Queensway and Mill Street.
The 3,300 square-foot, one-storey building would contain a mezzanine and sit 15 metres away from the water with a plaza like environment around it.
Council passed first reading of a rezoning application last December.
The public hearing begins at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
