Will we see a spike in gasoline prices heading into the September long weekend?
For now it appears gas prices in the Okanagan are going down, not up.
The cheapest gas in the province, at least last night was found in Vernon, with a litre of gasoline selling for 119.9 cents a litre.
In Kelowna, we've seen a slight drop in the past few days with most gas stations reporting a pump price of 135.9 cents a litre.
Nearby Penticton is selling fuel for 133.9 cents a litre while way up in Prince George, motorists there are paying just 124.9 cents a litre.
By province, according to Gas Buddy Dot Com, Manitoba has the cheapest gas (115.9 cents a litre) while BC has the second highest, just behind the North West Territories.
