The Regional District of Central Okanagan Dog Ambassadors are hitting the beaches, parks and sidewalks once again this summer.
Throughout the next few months, they will be cycling and walking around many different popular dog hotspots from Peachland to Lake Country.
As an especially helpful tool for tourists, they will be educating owners about responsible dog ownership, dog friendly parks and pet licenses, while giving out treats, bandanas and leashes.
The Central Okanagan has a zero tolerance policy for unlicensed dogs and all dog owners are reminded that they are responsible to pick up and properly dispose of pet waste.
Dog Control Officers will be patrolling in vehicles and on bikes during extended hours.
