Kelowna council was given an update on the progress of the Okanagan Rail Trail this week.
So far, roughly 4.9 million dollars has been rasied, which is about 64% of the 7.6 million dollar goal.
Right now, construction is on schedule to finish 12 km of trail in the North Okanagan, and 5 km in Lake Country by the end of November.
The first 9 km of trail to be finished in Kelowna is expected to happen by next March, between Airport Road and Dilworth Drive.
People can learn more at an open house on the project, which happens on Thursday evening at the Parkinson Rec Centre.
