It doesn’t look like we’ll be getting clear skies and temperatures above 20 degrees in the immediate future.
It’s expected to be a rainy weekend, with showers on Saturday and Sunday. In total, we should be getting between 5-10 millimeters of rain during this time.
“We’ve got this weak front that’s moving up from the south bringing showers to the Okanagan starting anytime Saturday afternoon,” says Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa West.
Meanwhile, the upper elevations are a different story. Heavy snowfall warnings are in effect for both the Connector and the Coquihalla near Merritt for Friday evening.
The projected high for the weekend is 11 degrees, with an overnight low of 3 degrees.
