One of the men accused of robbing a store in West Kelowna and setting a stolen truck on fire has been arrested.
Back on March 28, two armed men stole guns from the Antler Creek Outfitters in West Kelowna, before ditching a stolen truck and setting it on fire shortly afterward.
Those crimes were also connected to an arson at a home on Peak Point Drive two days earlier.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says the investigation took police all over the province.
"The investigation required our officers to travel between Kelowna, West Kelowna, Merritt, and Kamloops, as well as the lower mainland and Chilliwack and Prince George. The evidence gathered was sufficient to effect an arrest and support charges. RCMP investigators have recovered two firearms in Prince George, allegedly stolen during the Antler Creek Outfitters robbery," he said.
"On Friday June 2, approximately 10 police officers with the Kelowna regional RCMP detachment, arrested a 25-year-old Kamloops man connected to the alleged West Kelowna crimes. The male suspect was taken into custody in the Kamloops area, and was returned to Kelowna where he was held in police custody over the weekend."
David Daniel Huck is facing charges that include causing damage by fire and robbery, and was in court earlier today.
The RCMP say the man identified as the second suspect has since died.
