The Kelowna RCMP and Salvation Army have teamed up for the annual Sharing Christmas program.
The program, which collects toys, gift cards, and other necessities, helps to reduce the stress put on struggling families during the holiday season.
In the last month, hundreds of these gifts have been donated, and will be given out to families in need in the days leading up to Christmas.
"We can share our good fortune knowing that there are people that are struggling at this time of year," says RCMP Constable Lesley Smith.
Anyone interested in donating or volunteering for the Salvation Army is encouraged to visit one of their two Kelowna locations or call 250-860-2329.
