On September 30, 2019 just before 3:30 p.m. members of the Kelowna RCMP frontline responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Springfield Road near Durnin Road, Kelowna.
When police officers arrived, they located a vehicle that had struck a power pole causing a power outage to half the Kelowna area.
The investigation has revealed that there was an additional vehicle involved and was allegedly driving erratically.
The vehicle swerved across lanes of traffic and cut off a vehicle causing it to crash into the electrical pole.
While the driver sustained minor injuries, they were transported to hospital for medical treatment by the BC Emergency Health Services.
“The vehicle that caused the crash was a white or silver hatch-back sedan and is not believed to have sustained any damage,” says Cpl. Meghan Foster. “Police are seeking witnesses to the erratic driving and anyone that may have dash cam footage capturing the moments leading up to the crash.”
Anyone with information about the collision is urged to contact their local police, or the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
