The Kelowna RCMP Municipal Traffic Section continues the investigation into a serious collision involving a semi tractor trailer unit and a cyclist that occurred yesterday near Dilworth Drive and Harvey Avenue, Kelowna.
“The cyclist, a 69-year-old Kelowna resident was transported to hospital,” says Cpl. Meghan Foster of the Kelowna RCMP. “Efforts to save the cyclists’ life were made but sadly he has succumbed to his injuries.”
The driver of the semi tractor trailer has been cooperative with police and there is no one in custody at this time. Officers will continue to advance the investigation by canvassing the surrounding area of the scene for video surveillance and other evidence.
