West Kelowna RCMP are looking for 4 Sea-Doo operators who recklessly ripped around boats on Okanagan Lake on Thursday, sending a 2-year-old into the water in one incident.
It happened after 4:00pm, when one of the Sea-Doo operators performed a “power slide” around the boat.
"Thankfully the couple said their child was wearing a life jacket at the time and was surprisingly unharmed during what was likely a frightening ordeal for that toddler” said Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey.
A number of personal items were also soaked in the incident.
The 4 Sea-Doo operators also reportedly ripped extremely close to a second boat, with one Sea-Doo striking the vessel. A number of personal items were sent overboard and a BBQ that had been soaked in the incident was broken.
The group was reportedly last seen travelling southbound towards a sail boat south of Okanagan Lake Resort.
Police believe the Sea-Doo's were rented and are making efforts to identify the individuals.
Anyone who witnessed the incidents or were victim’s themselves are asked to contact West Kelowna RCMP. Police are also encouraging the four individuals to come forward and take responsibility for their actions.
