The Revelstoke RCMP and the BC Coroners Service have confirmed that the human remains found at the site of a plane crash near Revelstoke belong to a couple who went missing last November.
The pilot, 28-year-old Dominic Neron, and his girlfriend, 31-year-old Ashley Bougeault, were travelling from Penticton to Edmonton, when their small plane suddenly went down 60 kilometers east of Revelstoke.
A nine-day search was unsuccessful, and it wasn’t until this past September that the crash site was spotted by an ambulance service helicopter pilot.
Neither the RCMP nor the Coroners Service are releasing any further information at this time.
