Upgrades to improve the customer experience at Tim Hortons at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) are almost compete. The restaurant has been revitalized with new lighting, flooring, open-concept seating, and a re-designed counter and queueing area.
The restaurant re-opened today (Oct. 8) at 4:30 a.m.
The temporary kiosk closed on October 6 and recognizing the inconvenience to tenants and guests, Tim Hortons is serving free coffee all day today. No baked goods are available, but full service is expected to start October 9.
Hot food items such as bagels, sandwiches and soup can also be purchased at the Airport Plaza location, a short five-minute walk from the terminal at Airport Plaza (located next to Esso).
In March 2018, Tim Hortons announced a majority of its Canadian locations would be renovated as part of a $700 million initiative over the next four years.
