Renting an apartment in Kelowna isn't getting any cheaper.
In fact, the city has the 8th most expensive 'rental market' in all of Canada.
CMHC's Taylor Pardy isn't surprise by those numbers considering the population growth in the last year.
"Kelowna has been experiencing a higher rate of population growth over the last couple of years. We got a new estimate for the number of people who migrated to Kelowna in 2016 and that is over 42 hundred people".
Pardy says a 1 bedroom apartment in Kelowna will rent for 1,094 dollars while a two bedroom apartment will cost - on average - 1,312 dollars to rent.
Vancouver is the most expensive rental market in all of Canada.
