Repairing the damage from a mudslide in Peachland January 6th will likely cost over a million dollars.
The slide came down on Highway 97, just north of Antlers Beach, closing a lane on the highway - a sewer main also ruptured.
Engineers haven't pinpointed the cause of the slide, but ground water is suspected.
They say it's unusual for land slides to occur in cold temperatures.
Peachland council will look at options for the best permanent fix soon, which could be completed in 3 to 4 months.
