Between Monday June 3 and Tuesday June 4, the intersection shared between McCulloch, Rose and Reekie Rds. in East Kelowna will undergo two different impacts to accommodate work on the Integrated Water project to install new water main lines.
On Monday, June 3, Reekie Rd. and Rose Rd. will be closed for the day. Motorists will be directed to follow a detour route along Pooley or Fitzgerald Rds.
On Tuesday, June 4, a small section of McCulloch Rd. and Reekie Rd. will be closed at the McCulloch, Rose, Reekie intersection for the day. Motorists will be directed to follow a detour route along Pooley-Rose Rd. Access to McCulloch South (Gallagher’s) will be available through Pooley-Rose-McCulloch Rds. or Hart-Gulley Rds.
During the closures, motorists are asked to follow detour signs and directions of traffic safety personnel, as every effort will be made to minimize disruptions. Pedestrian and school bus access will be maintained and residents and businesses within the work zones will be able to access their properties. Residents, businesses and motorists are thanked for their patience while work is underway.
By 2021, the $86-million Integrated Water Project will deliver clean drinking water to more than 2,000 Southeast Kelowna households and a sustainable water supply to South Mission agriculture.
