The Kelowna Rockets have been deeply impacted by the bus crash that claimed the lives of 15 member of the Humboldt Broncos.
Second year forward Erik Gardiner was born in Humboldt and attending Sunday's vigil.
Gardiner was a former teammate of many of the players that perished in the accident.
Rockets General Manager Bruce Hamilton is still coming to grips with what happened.
"You just feel so sad for the families and the mom's and dad's and then of course the kids, so its been tough".
Hamilton is thinking of those that were killed and those that must deal with the tragedy.
"This isn't going to be easy for the young guys that survived this either. It is a life long event. They have some long days ahead of them also".
Scott Thomas, the first captain in Tacoma Rockets franchise history, had his 18 year-old son, Evan, perish in the accident.
