Kelowna RCMP are looking into a case of vandalism after thousands of dollars’ worth of damage was reported in Rutland Park’s public washrooms.
Police believe the incident took place sometime between the late hours of Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.
They found that all toilets, urinals, and sinks had been smashed to pieces in the washrooms.
“Our investigators are unable to determine what would motivate anyone to commit such a crime,” says RCMP Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. “This intentional act of destruction appears senseless.”
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or remain anonymous by leaving a tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
