Families are faced with many difficult decisions during the COVID 19 crisis, including Kelowna resident Scott Lovell.
He's a local transit operator and says he has a responsibilty to the community.
With safety of family in mind he's made the difficult choice to visit with his daughters from six feet away.
"We talked about the possibilities of sanitizing everything if I came for a visit," Lovell stated. "To her credit, the girls' mom has been incredibly wonderful in this and they have two small children in their new family, and they also have some vulnerable, older people."
Both daughters have had birthdays in the past six weeks.
Lovell says it's incredibly hard not to give them hugs, but there has been plenty of time spent on Facetime and making phone calls.
