With over two million sandbags used in flood protection across the Central Okanagan, a new digital tool has been added to get a better understanding of where they are located.
Public Information Officer Laura Wilson says the application is easy to fill out.
"It allows residents to be able to go on to the on-line app, pin-point the location on a map and provide some additional information like the number of sandbags, are they burlap or plastic as well as providing us with some contact information to be able to clean up those areas in the future".
To find the application, go to Cord Emergency Dot CA.
Wilson adds, if Kelowna residents wanting to drop off sandbags at their own cost, they can at the Cook Road Boat Launch in the Mission or at the Apple Bowl parking lot on Burtch Road.
