A 76-year-old woman was hospitalized last week after her car hit a store entrance on Lakeshore Road in Kelowna.
The woman reportedly suffered a medical emergency while behind the wheel, leading to her vehicle colliding with the entrance of the Strut apparel store in the Mission Park Shopping Centre.
She was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police have not revealed the nature of her medical emergency out of respect for her privacy.
While the store entrance sustained some damage from the collision, no one else was reported injured. The woman’s vehicle, a Chevrolet Lumina, was towed away after police secured the scene.
