A large amount of property has gone missing across Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Lake Country over the last week.
In Kelowna:
-A customized bike was stolen from Lawson Avenue on Sunday, April 15th. It’s described as being gray in color, with two differently-sized tires, and what appears to be an airplane decoration on its back. It’s also motorized, and can go up to speeds of 30 kilometers an hour.
In West Kelowna:
- A welding truck belonging to Gorman Bros Lumber in West Kelowna was stolen on Monday, April 16th from Dunfield Road. The truck is a gray Dodge flat deck, also carrying a $14,000 portable diesel welder. In its place, the thieves left another stolen vehicle: a white Ford pump truck with a damaged window and ignition.
- $15,000 worth of power tools went missing from a construction trailer in the Shannon Lake area between April 15th and 16th. These include an assortment of nail guns, hammer drills, and handheld saws.
In Lake Country:
-A resident of a lakeside home on Trewhitt Road reported a number of buoys missing from the property between April 16th and 17th. These marked the swimming zone of the lake by the house, and are apparently worth thousands of dollars.
