Health Canada is recalling a toy found in Dollarama stores across the country.
The multi-colored skip ball toys, 516,125 of which have been sold since January of 2012, contain levels of phthalates that exceed the allowable limit.
If ingested, phthalates can cause reproductive and developmental problems in children. While no injuries have been reported as of late July 2018, these toys are being recalled as a safety precaution.
Anyone in possession of the toys is urged to either dispose of them, or return them to their local Dollarama for a refund (no receipt is required).
