Winter weather will be sticking around for most of today.
Lisa West with Environment Canada says the first round of snow came through between 4 am and 5 am this morning.
“When residents woke up, it was about 4 to 5 cm on the ground and were are expecting periods of snow to continue throughout today as there are more bands expected to pass through the Okanagan.”
Another 2 centimetres is possible overnight and then the snow is expected to taper off.
“We’re going to get a bit of a break starting Friday afternoon into Saturday and then the next chance of precipitation right now is looking like Saturday night, it’s still a small chance of flurries,” West says.
Next week, temperatures are expected to reach up to 7 degrees, with rain in the forecast.
