Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Okanagan including Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton.
Doug Lundquist says an arctic front is bringing snow into the region.

He says it's already snowing on the mountain passes - the Connector and Coquihalla highways could see up to 15 cms by Thursday, and we'll see some in Kelowna as well.
"Maybe 2 to 5 cms down in the lowest parts of town - and possibly up to 10 cms, plus or minus, in the higher parts of town and Joe Rich," he says.
Lundquist says the snow will begin to taper off on Friday and it'll cool significantly for the weekend.
Daytime highs for Saturday and Sunday will be around zero - with the overnight lows near minus 4.
He says it's an early season arctic front - something we don't usually see until late November or early December.
