Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Okanagan.
A cold front is expected to develop over the central interior this morning and slide into the Southern Interior before weakening this evening.
Ahead of the front, winds in the Southern Interior could gust up to 60 kmh from the southwest this afternoon.
Isolated thunderstorms are also expected to develop across the central interior, Columbias, and Thompson/Shuswap region this afternoon and evening.
Brief showers with wind gusts up to 80 kmh are possible near thunderstorms.
