Still no contract agreement between the United Steelworkers and Forest Labour Relations.
Local Union President Pat McGregor says two days of mediation talks didn't reach the point where the workers would be happy.
"The employer presented their final offer to us. They weren't going anywhere past that offer so we decided to take it to our crews for some direction."
The discussions and vote by union members will take a couple of weeks.
McGregor adds, "The negotiating committee has not signed it, is not endorsing it. We promised our membership that before any job action that may occur, we'd give them a chance to vote on a company final offer and that'as what we're living up to."
Steelworkers have been in a legal postiion to strike since last November.
McGregor says job action is till an option.
