Police are looking for a man who snatched a laptop from a Kelowna Best Buy.
It happened on Boxing Day at about 6 pm, when the man walked into the store at Harvey and Dilworth and browsed for about 10 minutes.
He then walked to the laptop display counter, cut the security cable with a hand tool, and rushed out of the store with the computer under his arm.
A white GMC Yukon SUV was waiting outside to drive him away.
The laptop is described as a 15.6” Asus VivoBook Pro, with serial number N580VD-BB71-CB.
Lake Country RCMP says it heard more complaints of mailbox theft and tampering over the holidays.
Between December 22 and 24, Canada Post community boxes were opened up six locations in total:
Seaton Road near Read Road
Seaton Road at Okanagan Centre Road E
Robinson Road
Robinson Road at Highway 97
Cliffshore Drive/ Cliffshore Court
Cliffshore Drive near Shoreline Drive
Witnesses described seeing a man and a woman in older grey pickup truck.
The man was described as bald with neck tattoos and a black hoodie, while the woman had shoulder length brown hair.
West Kelowna police are trying to track down a thief and a stolen boat.
A red and white 1999 Malibu 20’ LX competition ski boat (HIN: MB2F5546L999) was reported stolen on December 14th, and it's believed to have been taken at some point over the previous week.
The boat was taken from Green Bay Road, and was on a red 1998 SMP trailer.
The trailer has a BC license number URH72X and VIN 2BGB06091W1E87008.
