A pickup truck that was stolen from West Kelowna has been found in Vernon where it was torched late Wednesday night.
Just after midnight, Vernon RCMP were called to the scene of a suspicious vehicle fire at 20th Street and 42nd Avenue.
Once firefighters doused the flames, officers were able to identify the truck - a Ford Ranger that went missing from West Kelowna in late May.
"Through further investigation, front line officers determined the truck was reported stolen out of West Kelowna BC, on May 24, 2019," said Constable Kelly Brett. "The circumstances into the stolen vehicle and arson remains under investigation at this time. No one was injured as a result of the fire."
