The Gospel Mission's 9th Annual “Strides to End Homelessness” walk takes place Sunday, March 1st at the Laurel Packinghouse at 1304 Ellis Street.
“Although the Strides to End Homelessness Walk is not until March 1st we start forming teams as early as mid January," said Executive Director Randy Benson. "We were unexpectedly surprised when Paul Cluff started us off with this incredible donation. It couldn’t have come at a better time since we are experiencing a cold snap and have more people coming in to use our services."
"As we embark on a new decade together as a city, I find it important to recognize that we are all part of the same community or tribe," said Paul Cluff, Realtor at RE/MAX Kelowna. "Part of being a collective whole is taking care of each other. As the weather casts a cold spell on us, we are all affected. For some of us this means life or death. Please think about what this week's weather means for some of our most vulnerable community members. Kelowna’s Gospel Mission is doing work that is beyond incredible, and provides a sense of belonging and safety to those of us who are in need."
