Temperatures were hitting the high 30's earlier this month. Making August a hot and dry month.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Carmen Hartt says we are back in a pattern of closer to normal temperatures.
With day time highs in the high 20's. The sun is still with us and so are dry conditions.
"That really hot and dry weather we had last week was definitely a problem for the fire." Hartt says. "And now this week the temperatures are a bit cooler, that is better-- but it is still dry. We are still concerned for the fire weather for the rest of the season."
Hartt says long term looks like neutral seasonal weather. Which can include day time highs in the high twenties.
