A Kelowna man has been arrested and charged in the armed robbery of a downtown escort service one year ago.
Earlier today, police arrested 33-year-old Brandon David Tchir after the BC Prosecution Service approved several charges against him including robbery, assault with a weapon, disguising face with intent to commit an indictable offence, and use an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence.
Tchir is believed to be one of two men who carried out the brazen daytime robbery at Garden of Eden on Lawrence Avenue, which sparked a police manhunt in June 2018.
The other suspect is still at large, as well as a possible third accomplice. Kelowna RCMP continue to investigate, as officers attempt to uncover the identities of the two outstanding suspects.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Kelowna RCMP or Crimestoppers.
