A section of Sutherland Avenue between Pandosy and Richter streets will close starting 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16 and until the morning of Sunday, Aug. 18, to facilitate repairs to the vehicle bridge crossing at Mill Creek.
Access to Sutherland Avenue from Pandosy and Richter streets will be permitted during this time; however, drivers will not be permitted to cross the bridge and are asked to plan their routes accordingly.
Work is part of the Sutherland Avenue Protected Bike Lanes project, which has been ongoing since March and includes a new, two-way cycle track and water, sewer and storm water maintenance. The bike lanes are scheduled to open in early September, following construction of a new pedestrian and bike bridge over Mill Creek.
For the safety of the public and work crews, please follow signs and directions of traffic safety personnel. Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions, and residents, businesses and motorists are thanked for their patience while work is underway.
